Furniture Buying Tips

When buying a dining table there are several considerations to take into account to ensure you purchase the perfect table to suit you and your families needs.

  1. Measure the area where you wish to place the new table and chairs. Consider the space needed in-which to move comfortably around the table and chairs and allow for moving the chairs in and out.
  2. What style of table will suit the room and the interior design that is already present in the room.  A modern glass top table may be ideal for a dining room whereas a solid rustic oak table may suit a kitchen perfectly.
  3. If space is an issue, choose an extending table.  Our Edmonton range of tables are very practical and compact, you can either extend one end or both ends depending on the size of table required.
  4. You should consider your budget. Have an approximate figure in mind which you are willing to spend before you actually go start searching for your table and try to stick to it.
  5. Would you prefer a round table, rectangular table or square table.  Round tables have the advantage of meaning that there is no head of the table and all sitters are equal. You may prefer to have a head of the table and like a rectangular or square shaped table.
  6. How many people do you hope to sit at the table? Do you need to be able to extend the table for special occassions?
  7. The type of chair is also important.  It needs to suit the dining area, i.e Dining Room or Kitchen Area.  There are many choices:
  • The Montana Chair - A full 100% genuine leather high back chair available in three colours - Chestnut Brown, Black or Cream
  • The Oakland Chair - An oak ladder back chair with faux leather seat pad in chocolate brown
  • The Napoli Chair - A suede effect microfibre chair in a Biscuit Beige colour
